SAMPLE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Guest Service Team is responsible for serving the golfing guest throughout the arrival, departure and on course experience. We have positions available from driving range, service/cart attendant, starters, play directors and supervisors.

Golf shop / Retail Team is responsible for servicing the golfing guest through the check in process and retail shopping environments.

Turf Care Team is responsible for turf and ground maintenance of the golf course.

Food & Beverage Team is responsible for providing Tobiano guests a unique dining experience from both a casual and formal dining menu. We have positions available from bartender, server, hostess, and kitchen staff.

These positions require experience in a high paced work environment involving skills in guest service, handling tender, telephone and tee time systems, merchandising, retail sales and product knowledge of golf equipment.

Your golfing ability is not vital. A working knowledge and desire to learn and enjoy the game will benefit you, the team and our guests.

Aside from the multitude of outdoor activities, there are many organized staff events and you can participate in such as an annual Staff Golf Tournament and Staff BBQs. Colleagues of Tobiano are invited to attend any or all of our monthly golf course socials. Each month, a golf course department (Turf Care, Golf Services, Kitchen and Food & Beverage) will host an event. In addition, all full time staff that work in excess of 30 hours per week will be extended complimentary golfing privileges. Golfing privileges are revocable at any time, and some time restrictions do apply.

TOBIANO, or as it was previously called, Six Mile Ranch, was established in the early 1800s after the Canadian Pacific Railway line was extended through the region. The property was used as ranching grounds by hardworking immigrants and cowboys alike. The name “Tobiano” was derived from the Tobiano style painted horse that was used on the property.

The Tobiano property was purchased in 1993 by Michael Grenier and project development began in 2006. The property consists of over 18,000 acres backing onto Kamloops Lake. The desination, when completed, will consist of over 1,000 residential homes and town homes, an 18 hole Thomas McBroom Championship Golf Course, an indoor/outdoor equestrian centre, a 100-slip marina, 3 hotels, a boutique-style pedestrian friendly village, and 17,000 acres of tranquil backcountry.
